These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your access to and use of governmentgrant.com (the "Site"), operated by Information Services Inc. ("Information Services Inc.", "we", "our", or "us"). By accessing or using the Site, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Site.

Important: We are not the government and we cannot get you a grant

Please read this section carefully before relying on anything else on the Site.

GovernmentGrant.com is a private, independently-operated informational website. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by the United States government, the Government of Canada, or any federal, state, provincial, or local government agency. The use of the words "government" and "grant" in our domain name reflects the subject matter we write about; it does not signal any official status.

We do not award grants. We do not process grant applications. We do not submit grant applications on your behalf. We do not guarantee that any reader will receive a grant. We do not charge fees for information that is available for free from the government.

Official US federal grant information and applications are available for free at Grants.gov. Official Canadian federal grant information is available at Canada.ca. State, provincial, and local grants are administered by the respective government agencies.

If anyone — including a website that looks like ours, an email that appears to come from us, or a phone caller claiming to represent us — asks you to pay a fee, provide a Social Security Number or Social Insurance Number, provide bank account details, or send money in order to "secure", "release", or "guarantee" a grant, it is a scam. Do not respond. Report it to the Federal Trade Commission at reportfraud.ftc.gov (US) or the Canadian Anti-Fraud Centre at antifraudcentre.ca (Canada), and let us know at infoservicesinc@gmail.com.

About the Site

GovernmentGrant.com is a free informational website. It provides general information about government grant programs, eligibility guidance, and links to official government grant resources. The Site does not require registration, does not have user accounts, and does not process payments.

Not legal, financial, or professional advice

The content on the Site is provided for general informational and educational purposes only. It is not, and is not intended to be, legal, financial, tax, accounting, or professional advice. We are not lawyers, grant writers, financial advisors, or government employees.

Grant programs change frequently. Eligibility criteria, application deadlines, funding amounts, and program availability are all subject to change without notice and may not be reflected on the Site at any given moment. Before applying for any grant or relying on any grant program described on the Site, verify the current details directly with the relevant government agency.

If your situation involves significant funds, legal obligations, or business decisions, consult a qualified professional. Reliance on information found on the Site is at your own risk.

Use of the Site

You may use the Site for your own personal, non-commercial informational purposes. You agree not to:

Use the Site in any way that violates applicable law. Use automated means (bots, scrapers, crawlers other than standard search engine crawlers) to access the Site, except as permitted by our robots.txt file. Copy, redistribute, sell, or republish substantial portions of the content on the Site without our prior written permission. Use the Site or content from the Site to operate a "grant finder" service, charge fees for access to grant information, or otherwise represent that you are connected to GovernmentGrant.com or to any government agency. Attempt to interfere with, compromise, or disrupt the Site, its servers, or its security. Reverse engineer, decompile, or otherwise attempt to derive the source code of any software on the Site. Use the Site to transmit any malware, viruses, or other harmful code. Misrepresent your identity or affiliation when contacting us.

Intellectual property

All content on the Site, including text, graphics, layout, design, and software, is owned by Information Services Inc. or its licensors and is protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.

Where the Site reproduces information that originates from a government source (such as a description of a federal grant program), that underlying information may be in the public domain. Our particular presentation, organization, and editorial commentary are protected.

You may view, share links to, and print individual pages for your personal, non-commercial use. Any other use — including reproduction, republication, modification, or commercial use — requires our prior written permission.

If you submit feedback or suggestions to us, you grant us a perpetual, worldwide, royalty-free license to use that feedback to improve the Site, without obligation to you.

Advertising

The Site is funded by display advertising, including Google AdSense. Advertisements served on the Site by Google or other ad networks are selected by those networks based on factors we do not control. The presence of an advertisement on the Site is not an endorsement by us of the advertiser, its products, or its services.

Be especially cautious of advertisements that promise guaranteed grant approval, charge fees to fill out grant applications, or ask for sensitive personal information up front. We are not responsible for the conduct of any advertiser. If you believe an advertiser is engaged in fraud or deceptive practices, report it to the Federal Trade Commission at reportfraud.ftc.gov or the Canadian Anti-Fraud Centre at antifraudcentre.ca, and let us know so we can attempt to block the advertiser.

Third-party links and services

The Site contains links to third-party websites, including government grant portals and other informational resources. We do not control and are not responsible for the content, accuracy, privacy practices, products, or services of any third party. Your interactions with any third-party website or service are governed by that party's own terms and policies. You access third-party sites at your own risk.

Disclaimer of warranties

The Site and all content on it are provided "as is" and "as available", without warranty of any kind, either express or implied, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, completeness, and non-infringement.

Without limiting the foregoing, we do not warrant that the Site will be uninterrupted, error-free, secure, or free of viruses; that any grant program, eligibility criterion, deadline, dollar amount, or other information on the Site is accurate, current, or complete; that any reader who applies for a grant will receive a grant; or that the Site will meet your specific needs.

Some jurisdictions do not allow the disclaimer of certain warranties. In those jurisdictions, the disclaimers in this section apply to the fullest extent permitted by law.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Information Services Inc., its directors, officers, employees, contractors, and affiliates are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, revenue, savings, data, business, or goodwill, arising out of or in connection with your use of, or inability to use, the Site or any content on it, even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages.

In no event will our total aggregate liability to you for all claims arising out of or relating to these Terms or your use of the Site exceed one hundred Canadian dollars (CAD $100).

These limitations apply whether the claim is based on contract, tort (including negligence), statute, or any other legal theory, and even if a limited remedy fails of its essential purpose.

Some jurisdictions do not allow the limitation or exclusion of liability for certain damages. In those jurisdictions, our liability is limited to the maximum extent permitted by law.

Indemnification

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Information Services Inc. and its directors, officers, employees, contractors, and affiliates from any claim, demand, loss, or expense (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of your breach of these Terms, your misuse of the Site, or your violation of any law or third-party right.

Changes to the Site

We may modify, suspend, or discontinue all or part of the Site at any time, with or without notice. We are not liable to you or any third party for any modification, suspension, or discontinuation of the Site.

Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page indicates when the most recent changes were made. Material changes will be highlighted on the Site. Your continued use of the Site after changes take effect constitutes your acceptance of the updated Terms.

Governing law and jurisdiction

These Terms and your use of the Site are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada applicable in that province, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. You agree that any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Site will be brought exclusively in the courts located in Toronto, Ontario, Canada, and you consent to the personal jurisdiction of those courts.

If you access the Site from outside Canada, you do so on your own initiative and are responsible for complying with applicable local laws.

Severability and entire agreement

If any provision of these Terms is held to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain in full effect. Our failure to enforce any provision is not a waiver of that provision. These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy and Cookie Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and Information Services Inc. regarding the Site, and supersede any prior agreements.
