Grant Description
The objectives of this project are to: ╢ To provide information on the status and trends of salamanders in the Gulf Coastal Plain. ╢ Determine the environmental factors determine the occupancy probability of Desomgnathus salamanders. ╢ To develop microsatellite markers for the Gulf Coast Waterdog (Necturus beyeri). ╢ Determine levels of genetic diversity and connectivity among populations of waterdogs.
