Grant Description
This RFA is being released prior to the passage of an Appropriations Act for FY 2011. Enactment of additional Continuing Resolutions or an Appropriations Act may affect the availability or level of funding for this program. There is no commitment by USDA to fund any particular application or to make a specific number of awards. NIFA anticipates that approximately $19,770,000 will be available to fund applications in FY 2011. NIFA intends to distribute the FY 2011 Appropriation in the same manner as the FY 2010 Appropriation. NIFA will assess four percent (4%) of the appropriated amount, approximately $790,800 for Federal Administration, distribute sixty percent (60%) of the balance equally, and distribute the remaining forty percent (40%) based on the formula found in Section 1444 of NAREPTA of 1977, as amended (Pub. L. No. 95-113).
