Grant Description
The Public Affairs Section (PAS) of the U.S. Embassy in Kabul, Afghanistan invites all eligible organizations to submit a proposal for a cooperative agreement to establish a University Partnership between a college or university in the United States and Kabul Polytechnic University in Kabul, Afghanistan in the content area of Geology and Mining, specifically related to Geographic Information Systems (GIS). Accredited U.S. four-year colleges and universities meeting the provisions described in Internal Revenue Code section 26 USC 501(c)(3) may submit proposals to pursue institutional or departmental objectives in partnership with Kabul Polytechnic University. Two U.S. colleges and universities may collaborate in response to this proposal, but the award will only be made to one college or university as the prime. Sub-agreements with universities in the other countries are also permissible for this grant.
