Grant Description
The Public Affairs Section (PAS) of the U.S. Embassy in Islamabad is pleased to announce an open competition for registered Pakistani not-for-profit organizations for an assistance award through this Notice of Funding Opportunity (NOFO). PAS Islamabad invites all eligible organizations (see Section C for Eligibility Requirements) to submit a proposal for a Cooperative Agreement to provide Programming Support for the Lincoln Corners Pakistan program for a one-year period, estimated to begin in September 2016. Lincoln Corners are information and program venues located in non-U.S. government sites throughout Pakistan. Lincoln Corners help maintain open dialogue and build bridges of understanding, representing the United Statesм long-standing commitment to share the ideas and values of American democracy and civil society. The budget for this program will include the costs to: a) Recruit and hire three Lincoln Corner Coordinators for designated Lincoln Corners in Islamabad and Skardu. The newly hired Lincoln Corner Coordinators would work within the partner institutions that host the Lincoln Corners and would receive regular guidance and support from PAS staff. b) Provide defined and limited programming support for an additional 17 Lincoln Corners throughout Pakistan. The programming support includes purchasing resources or paying costs for pre-approved programs, activities, and events. c) Provide administrative support for one national and six district-level training workshops. The administrative support for workshops includes paying venue fees and transportation and per diem expenses for participants.
