Grant Description

The Office of Ocean and Polar Affairs of the Bureau of Oceans, Environment, and Science (OES) at the Department of State announces an open competition to support regional and local initiatives in the Wider Caribbean Region that will reduce the amount of marine litter and debris released into waters of the Caribbean region, and/or mitigate the environmental impact of marine debris/litter. This announcement invites organizations to submit proposals addressing the objectives referenced above. Total funding available is $123,750. The Office of Ocean and Polar Affairs anticipates funding a single grant award from competition. However, the grantee may elect to distribute the grant funds among various sub-projects.
