Grant Description
The purpose of this funding announcement is to address the following research goals in Thailand: A. To conduct field and laboratory research on important human infectious diseases, with an emphasis on HIV/AIDS, emerging and re-emerging infectious diseases, neglected tropical diseases, tuberculosis, influenza, zoonotic diseases, malaria and other diseases with pandemic potential as well as Environmental Health issues, Chronic Diseases, Maternal and Child Health, Public Health Preparedness, Bio-Safety, and Injury Control and Prevention. B. To incorporate the results of research into operational health promotion, disease prevention and control programs in Thailand and ensure the sharing of expertise and research findings with other nations, non-governmental agencies and academic institutions. C. To provide training and capacity building in order to support sustainability of public health initiatives in Thailand.
