Eligible applicant(s) are limited to: The University of Hawaii at Manoa as they have experience and expertise in collecting air monitoring data on volcanic emissions in Hawaii and have established partnerships with impacted communities living in close proximity to active volcanoes. These capabilities are necessary to estimate exposures to the volcanic emissions and to conduct a study to assess the human health effects in Hawaiian residents who are exposed to these volcanic emissions.

Grant Description
The purpose of this supplement is to provide additional grant funds for continuing research on Human health effects associated with exposures to volcanic emissions in Hawaii. Measurable outcomes of the program will be in alignment with the following performance goals for the National Center for Environmental Health (NCEH): Determine the human health effects associated with environmental exposures; and prevent or reduce illnesses, injury and death related to environmental risk factors.
