Grant Description
The purpose of the program is to evaluate housing factors that are energy efficient and have the potential to mitigate the negative health outcomes of low income children with asthma. This program addresses the рHealthy People 2020с focus areas of homes and communities and respiratory diseases by: 1)Comparing the levels of certain environmental chemical and biological agents in green vs. comparison, multi-family, and low-income housing 2)Documenting the differences in the health of the residents in these homes 3)Assessing the economic impacts of the рgreeningс of housing -- particularly those related to health
