This population-based, longitudinal study is designed to: • Determine the prevalence, incidence, and risk factors associated with the occurrence and progression of hip and knee osteoarthritis (OA). • Determine racial or ethnic differences in outcome and in the effect of risk factors upon OA outcomes.
