Grant Description
Purpose. This FOA solicits applications proposing research on complementary interventions that are frequently used and hypothesized to be effective in the management of HIV disease and the complications associated with antiretroviral therapy (ART). Mechanism of Support. This FOA will utilize the R01 grant mechanism. Funds Available and Anticipated Number of Awards. The total funds available in FY 2009 to support applications submitted in response to this funding opportunity are approximately $2 million. It is anticipated that up to four new R01 awards will be made in FY 2009.
