Grant Description
Under Title XVI of Public Law 102-575 (Title XVI), Reclamation works to identify and investigate opportunities to reclaim and reuse wastewater and naturally impaired ground and surface water in the 17 Western States and Hawaii. Title XVI also provides authority for Reclamation to provide up to 25 percent of the total cost of water recycling and reuse research studies. The objective of this Funding Opportunity Announcement (FOA) is to invite research sponsors to request cost-shared funding to address water supply challenges by establishing or expanding water reuse markets, improving existing water reuse facilities, and streamlining the implementation of state of the art technology for new facilities. For the purposes of this FOA, state of the art is defined as the latest and most advanced technologies or processes currently available in the industry for deployment and implementation. State of the art technology does not include innovative technologies or processes that are currently under development through pilot or demonstration research efforts.
