Grant Description

This FOA is issued by three NIH Institutes (NINDS, NIMH and NIDA) under the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) of the United States of America (U.S.) and the Department of Biotechnology (DBT) under the Ministry of Science and Technology (MoST) of the Republic of India (India). The purpose of this program is to support the establishment and enhancement of bilateral research collaborations between U.S. and Indian investigators in the field of neuroscience with an emphasis on understanding, treating and curing neurological, mental and addictive disorders. Specific areas of research may include, but are not limited to, studies of mechanisms underlying neurological, mental and addictive disorders and diseases, planning for population-based research and clinical trials, the development of infrastructures for resource, tool and data sharing in addition to projects aimed at advancing global health research, particularly as it relates to the mission of the participating organizations.
