Grant Description

The objective of the NIAMS STAR Program is to promote innovation and exploration of high-risk ideas by providing supplemental funding to early established investigators (EEIs). The STAR Program will support activities that effectively allow EEIs to expand and explore new opportunities within the broader scope of a currently funded, peer-reviewed research project to facilitate the transition from a single, structured research project to a research program.For the purpose of this program, NIAMS EEIs as those who have successfully renewed a first NIAMS-supported R01.
