This FOA is also encourages the development and improvement of specific technologies and methods for quantitative detection of novel biomarkers associated with hematopoietic malignancies. Mechanism of Support. This FOA will utilize the NIH exploratory/developmental (R21) grant mechanism and runs in parallel an FOA of identical scientific scope, PA-09-197) that encourages applications under the R01 mechanism. Funds Available and Anticipated Number of Awards.
