Grant Description

-Purpose. This funding opportunity announcement (FOA) issued by the National Institute on Alcohol Abuse and Alcoholism solicits NIH Small Research Grant (R03) applications for organizations/institutions that propose to conduct secondary analysis of existing data sets.ÊNIAAA seeks to enhance the understanding of the patterns of alcohol consumption and the epidemiology of alcohol-related problems.Ê -Mechanism of Support. This FOA will utilize the NIH Small Research Grant (R03) award mechanism and runs in parallel with two FOAs of identical scientific scope, PA-08-168 that encourages applications under the R21 award mechanism and PA-08-167 that encourages applications under the R01 award mechanism.Ê -Funds Available and Anticipated Number of Awards.ÊAwards issued under this FOA are contingent upon the availability of funds and the submission of a sufficient number of meritorious applications.
