The United States Department of the Interior, The National Park Service (NPS), and Great Smoky Mountain National Park is announcing a notice of intent to award; this is not a request for applications. This funding opportunity is to provide public notice of NPS's intention to fund the following project activities without full and open competition, under Cooperative Agreement P15AC00015 with American Conservation Experience, a partner with the National Park Service, for a project titled; Rehabilitation Alum Cave Trail.

Grant Description

Statement of Project Work - This project is a cooperative endeavor between NPS and ACE for the trail maintenance/rehabilitation of the Alum Cave Trail located in Great Smoky Mountains National Park. Project work will include, but is not limited to the following: replacement of damaged waterbars, removal of trail sloughing, major trail corridor brushing, turnpiking of wet areas, rock/boulder removal from trail corridor, reestablishing chipped out stone bench for trail tread, tree removal, and repair of trail treadway damage.
