Grant Description
This project is designed to: increase the use of parks as places of learning and healing by offering a unique opportunity for students to visit the sites, the churches, the schools, and neighborhoods associated with the powerful story of civil rights movement; to engage students in the study and discussion of historical human and civil rights issues and its impact on students today; help students understand different perspectives while facilitating opportunities for analysis and dialogue in an effort to forge connections between the past and the struggle for racial justice today.
