Grant Description

The Southwest Exotic Plant Management Team (SW EPMT) of the National Park Service NPS) is in need of affordable plant material for pollinator gardens and restoration projects in New Mexico and the surrounding states. The SW EPMT is interested in providing opportunities for native tribes, youth, and volunteers to participate in a plant propagation program at sites in New Mexico. The SW EPMT and the awardee will work together to plan the propagation of native plants at facilities in New Mexico for restoration projects and pollination gardens at national parks throughout the Southwest. In addition, NPS staff and the SW EPMT, and the awardee will collaborate on executing the recommended work as described below in the Statement of Work. They will work together with individual park staff to organize and manage work crews, volunteer crews, student interns, educational materials, any needed research, and logistics of the recommended plant propagation projects.
