Grant Description
The United States Department of the Interior, The National Park Service (NPS) / Great Smoky Mountain National Park, is providing notice of NPS's intention to fund the following project activities without full and open competition: Water quality monitoring using the NPS Vital Signs program. Continued long-term investigation on selected watersheds of the effects of acidic deposition on water quality and aquatic biota through better understanding the fate and transport of these pollutants from air through soil to the streams; and characterization of natural biogeochemical processes to better assess risks to natural systems from acidic deposition. This is not a request for applications.
