Grant Description
OJJDP provides national leadership, coordination, and resources to prevent and respond to juvenile delinquency and juvenile victimization. OJJDP supports states and communities in their efforts to develop and implement effective and coordinated prevention and intervention programs and to improve the juvenile and criminal justice systems so that they protect public safety, hold offenders accountable, and provide treatment and rehabilitative services tailored to the needs of juveniles and their families. OJJDP supports programs to further understanding of, and improve the response to, technology-facilitated crimes against children. This program seeks to expand understanding of the scope and prevalence of these types of crimes against young victims. This program will support research on technology-facilitated crimes against children to inform policy and to develop effective responses to child abduction, missing children, and children at risk for exploitation and other adverse outcomes with funds authorized under 42 USC ยค 5775.
