Grant Description
The US Army Corps of Engineers, Portland District (USACE) intends to enter into a cooperative agreement to assist the USACE in scientific data collection at the MCR South Jetty Beneficial Use Site. A real-time environmental buoy will be deployed near the disposal site to provide continuous environmental conditions to assist in site monitoring by the National Marine Fisheries Service, and other cooperating agencies. The data and monitoring supports the long-term implementation of the MCR Regional Sediment Management PlanŠ¼s goal to keep dredged material from the MCR in the nearshore littoral cell. The preferred partner in the agreement will be qualified to provide technical data collection and analysis and must have experience in volatile areas such as the Mouth of the Columbia River. This cooperative agreement is awarded pursuant to 33 USC 2326b _ Sediment Management Data collection will be performed at the Mouth of the Columbia River.
