Grant Description

The US Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) intends to enter into a sole source, follow-on cooperative agreement with the University of Idaho for water quality monitoring and planning of Willow Creek Reservoir in Heppner, Oregon. The scope of the agreement will consist of bi-weekly monitoring of water quality conditions within, upstream, and downstream of Willow Creek Reservoir. Water quality information will be used to plan/design restoration of water quality in Willow Creek Reservoir. The restoration plan will be used in the evaluation, design, and construction of a wetland upstream of Willow Creek Reservoir, in-reservoir phosphorus treatments and the implementation of Best Management Practices (BPMs) on private/federal lands within the watershed above Willow Creek Reservoir. This cooperative agreement is awarded pursuant to 33 USC 2339(c) п Assistance Programs Data collection will be conducted at Willow Creek Reservoir in Heppner, Oregon
