Grant Description
The US Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) intends to award multiple cooperative agreements to provide training and education opportunities to county offenders in the Willamette Valley, Oregon. These education and training opportunities exist through the need for natural resource and maintenance services on USACE project lands at the Willamette Valley Project. The goals and objectives of this cooperative agreement are to facilitate a mutually beneficial partnership between USACE and local correction facilities for implementation of best management practices with regards to environmental stewardship, high and low density recreation areas, and operations/facilities maintenance. Possible performance locations of cooperative agreement(s) awarded under this announcement include the counties of Linn, Lane, Benton, and Marion. Cooperative agreement(s) will be awarded pursuant to 33 USC 2339(a) Conservation and Recreation Management. The goal of this funding opportunity is to provide training and education opportunities to offenders at the local correction facilities.
