This cooperative agreement is entered into solely with Oregon Health and Science University (OHSU). The OHSU Center for Coastal Margin Observations and Prediction (CMOP) maintains a network of observational data in the Lower Columbia River and is the only source that can provide the required data from before and after construction of CRCIP.

Grant Description

The US Army Corps of Engineers, Portland District (USACE) intends to enter into a sole source cooperative agreement with Oregon Health and Science University (OHSU) for the assessment of the Columbia Channel Improvement Project (CRCIP) effects on salinity intrusion and salmon habitat opportunity. This agreement is entered into pursuant to Public Law 108-199-Jan 23, 2004 рConsolidated Appropriations Act, 2004.с This is a mandatory environmental requirement of the Columbia River Channel Improvement Project as authorized by Congress in the Water Resource Development Act of 1999 and the 2004 Civil Works Appropriations Act.
