Grant Description
THIS IS A NOTICE OF INTENT ONLY. This agreement will provide a study that will complement previous and current studies by looking specifically at the climate indicators of precipitation and temperature to determine the degree to which the individual factors that have already undergone change and their influence on freshwater available for recharge. Information on the factors contributing to changes in groundwater salinity observed since KAHO was established is an essential component of the strategy being developed to protect and maintain the current rate of groundwater discharge to inland and marine waters in the Park. This information will aid the Park in its work with state, county and private developers to ensure the protection of water resources in the National Park and West Hawaii.
