The National Park Service, through its National Center for Preservation Technology and Training (NCPTT), supports fundamental and applied research and develops and disseminates preservation technologies. NCPTT has a long-standing commitment to addressing the emerging field of historic preservation and sustainability through research grants, conferences, and training programs as well as working with other public agencies, non-profit and professional organizations, individuals, and educational institutions.
