Grant Description
The purpose of the Task Agreement is to conduct monitoring and analysis on the density and breeding status of the federal-listed endangered Cape Sable Seaside Sparrow, providing Everglades National Park managers with an understanding of how this population is responding to hydrologic restoration actions. Further, the project continue the long-term mark-recapture study of sparrows in subpopulation A, including banding and re-sighting of both adult and juvenile sparrows, and will incorporate current geo-referenced information into the existing sparrow relational database designed for use in assessing the impacts of restoration activities on sparrow populations. The university cooperator and the National Park Service will work collaboratively on this project.
