Grant Description
NOTE: This is an NOI. An announcement for funding is not related to this notice. We are not accepting applications. USDOLмs, Bureau of International Labor Affairs (ILAB), intends to provide funding for a cooperative agreement to the Global Apprenticeships Network (GAN) for a project to promote private sector investment in workplace-based training programs for youth, with a focus on youth who are vulnerable to being engaged in hazardous work. The project will engage employers and other stakeholders at the global and national levels, primarily internationally but with limited activities in the United States. The project aims to achieve two main outcomes: 1) Enhanced information-sharing among the private sector, as well as other key stakeholders, on existing tools and best practices related to workplace-based training for youth, including vulnerable and marginalized youth, and 2) Increased coordination and collaboration among the private sector, as well as other key stakeholders, on the implementation of workplace-based training programs accessible to vulnerable and marginalized youth. Authority: USDOL Manual Series (DLMS) 2-836 G.3, Services are available from only one responsible source and no substitute will suffice; or the recipient has unique qualifications to perform the type of activity to be funded.
