Grant Description
Funding is available through the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service, Stockton Fish and Wildlife Office, National Fish Passage Program to modify the existing fish ladder at the North Granlees Diversion Dam to meet current federal and state (California Department of Fish and Game (DFG)) hydraulic criteria for fish passage. The ladder needs modification to pass fish over a wider range of flows to minimize migration delays and stranding. The proposed project will eliminate the last barrier to fish passage on the Cosumnes River by constructing a ladder with appropriate jump heights between pools.
