Grant Description
The Active Citizen Summit 2.0 seeks to convene top young leaders, activists, aspiring political candidates, and thinkers from the 18 countries of the NEA region, as well as representatives of diaspora communities from these same countries. The theme of ACS 2.0, рPathways to Youth Employment,с will explore ways in which national and community organizations in the U.S. can assist youth through skills training, volunteerism, and small business incubation. Focus will be on using these strategies to increase employability of youth. Selected participants will engage in focused discussions, skills training, networking, and internships on the topics of leadership, youth unemployment, and political/economic empowerment. The program will culminate in a two-day capstone in Washington DC, featuring delegate presentations.
