Grant Description
The Bureau of Land Management is interested in supporting research regarding Greater sage-grouse. Greater sage-grouse occupy diverse sagebrush and riparian communities across eastern Oregon and Washington. Understanding the distribution, quantity, quality, and seasonal occupation of these habitats by sage-grouse is essential for long-term conservation of the species. Where populations and habitat are declining, adaptive management requires the identification of possible causes and implementation of conservation measures to address the causes.
