Grant Description
The Assessment, Inventory, and Monitoring (AIM) strategy provides a process for the Bureau of Land Management (BLM) to collect quantitative information on location and abundance, condition, and trend of renewable resources on the nationДккs public lands. In 2012, BLM Alaska began a five year AIM Pilot Project in the National Petroleum Reserve-Alaska (NPR-A) partnering with a local university to: develop site locations; develop supplemental indicators; develop and environmental conceptual model; collect field data; and refine field protocols. Alaska Natural Heritage Program (ANHP) also provided a summary report on methods and strata characteristics of the NPR-A.
