Grant Description
Salmon Watch, an annual environmental education program, teaches the next generation of decision makers about the importance of wild fish conservation in watershed management. The program is designed to instill in students and other participants a deeper appreciation of the value of their natural heritage and the importance of being well-informed and responsible citizens. In 2013, the program expects to reach 30 teachers and approximately 900 high school students in the Portland metropolitan area to participate in hands-on field trips.
