Grant Description
The proposed project would include constructing greenhouses at local Native American schools and colleges so students can grow native plants, such as sagebrush, grasses and forbs as well as propagating willow cuttings that would be used by the BLM and other agencies for restoration projects and are also used for Native American ceremonies. Greenhouses would be built at the schools and students would be able to grow native plants that could then be purchased by the BLM, other agencies or tribal members. The overall goal of the project is to enhance tribal relationships and inspire youth to be interested in natural resources.
