Grant Description
The project will combine stand structural information available through LiDAR and ground sampling with detailed soil pit information and climatic information to develop model components and drive the simulations of the ecophysiological processes in Panther Creek watershed. The simulation model will be used to estimate net primary production and water use by the predominantly Douglas-fir stands in the Panther Creek Watershed. The project will provide a better understanding of the impact of different forest conditions on the sequestration of carbon in various forest components.
