Grant Description
The objective is to locate, identify, and analyze ancient soil surfaces known as paleosols that are believed to remain along Californias Lost Coast in the King Range National Conservation Area. Once located and identified, soil profiles will be recorded soil samples will be taken for laboratory analyses and organic materials extracted from those samples for dating via radiometric and chemical laboratory methods purposes.
