Grant Description
A. Project Background Information: This project is part of an ongoing large scale stream restoration project that in combination would reconnect over 34 miles of fragmented habitat for BLM sensitive Colorado River cutthroat trout, bluehead sucker, flannelmouth sucker, and roundtail chub. The goals of this project include: 1) development of a design that will allow for fish passage and reclaim a section of degraded stream caused by a culvert road crossing on Muddy Creek and 2) the design and removal/modification an existing fish barrier on Littlefield Creek and sheet piling structures in Muddy Creek to allow for fish passage. This design would then be used to obtain cost estimates and identify funding needs for future conservation efforts. Species of conservation concern that will benefit from this project include the Colorado River cutthroat trout, bluehead sucker, flannelmouth sucker, roundtail chub, mountain sucker, and speckled dac
