Grant Description
Funding is available through a CALFED Science grant to the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service to support the integration of the scientific and technical understanding of restoration trajectories with the changing risks of flooding and levee erosion. This work contributes to the CALFED Science Program’s desire to describe the biotic and abiotic effects of passive restoration on tidally influenced freshwater marsh complexes. The work will be completed over a 3 year period, with two years devoted to field work and the third devoted to model development, synthesis, and information dissemination.
