╢ Be a registered U.S. non-profit organization, 501 (c) (3) including civil society organizations; foreign NGO, religious association, or educational institution based or working in Honduras . Applicants must be registered in-country or submit proof that they are seeking registration in Honduras at the time of proposal submission; ╢ Due to the community-oriented focus of this request for proposals, organizations based outside of Honduras are required to identify and work with an implementing partner based in Honduras to ensure local Оbuy-inм and sustainability. ╢ Have demonstrated experience implementing drug prevention projects in Central America preferably with the targeted community (ies) identified in the proposal. ╢ Have demonstrated experience working with youth, women, and community leaders to implement one or more of the following: youth leadership training, civic education programs, community outreach programs, capacity building, media, social responsibility programs, community police programs. ╢ Have existing capacity or ability to develop active partnerships with organizations in Honduras especially in the field of drug prevention.

Grant Description
The Bureau of International Narcotics and Law Enforcement Affairs (INL) seeks applications from qualified non-profit organizations capable of developing and deploying citizen security and drug demand reduction education to adolescents in the high-risk departments of Colon and Gracias a Dios. Activities will include identification of a suitable evidence-based curriculum, local fieldwork to adapt the curriculum to local communities, and delivery of the curriculum to a test group of adolescents in the selected departments over a period of two years.
