Grant Description
The Administration for Children and Families (ACF), Office of Refugee Resettlement (ORR) announces the funding opportunity and award procedures for the Fiscal Year (FY) 2013 Discretionary Targeted Assistance Grant (TAG) Program. The Discretionary Targeted Assistance Grant Program is designed to assist newly arrived refugees and specific refugee populations with compelling situations who for various reasons have been unable to make the transition to economic self-sufficiency. ORR invites eligible applicants to submit competitive grant applications with programs that address employment, case management and social adjustment services for refugees to obtain self sufficiency in counties that do not receive Formula TAG funding and do not have other alternative funding resources or services available to address the needs of the target population. ORR will make $4,849,282 million available for this program. The project period will be for three years, with three 12-month budget periods. Awards will be based upon the outcome of the review process and the availability of funds.
