Grant Description
Indian journalists are a part of a global community of media professionals who, on a daily basis, keep their readership informed, hold us all accountable, filter fact from fiction, and unmask false narratives masquerading as truth. A key part of the mediaŠ¼s reliability in performing these services is credibility, which itself relies on adherence to an ethical code. U.S. Consulate General Hyderabad seeks proposals for the co-development of a media ethics course to provide a baseline understanding of the international industry standards media should strive to meet, including: accuracy, honesty, transparency, impartiality, and accountability. A complete proposal will include planning and executing a three-day workshop for the co-designers to deliver a condensed version of the course to communications and journalism faculty of universities in our consular district for their consideration of course adoption.
