The USGS intends to provide the American Geological Institute with funding in support of the 2015 Earth Science Week (ESW). ESW provides a unique opportunity for earth scientists to interact, collaborate, teach, and learn alongside students, teachers, parents, and other community members. ESW promotes understanding and appreciation of the earth sciences.
