Grant Description

The USGS is offering a funding opportunity to a CESU partner for technical assistance and research in a question of major interest integrating, storing, and serving new technologically advanced tools to assess the vulnerability of species at risk to climate change. Climate change has great potential to impact coastal ecosystems of the Pacific Coast, such as inundation from sea level rise, increased air and sea temperatures, alterations in precipitation patterns, nonnative population increases, increased pressure from commercial fishing industries, and destabilization of the overall marine community structure (USEPA, 2003).
