Grant Description
The USGS is offering a funding opportunity to a CESU partner for research to support a collaborative research effort with USGS scientists to collect demographic data and estimate demographic parameters for a boreal toad population that appears to be disease-free and that is putatively the largest in Colorado. Information will be used to support decisions by the Boreal Toad Conservation Team, led by Colorado Parks and Wildlife and contribute to a global understanding of amphibian decline. The CESU partner will provide the data through field work that uses a capture-mark-recapture sampling framework and visual encounter survey protocols.
