Grant Description
The US Geological Survey is offering a funding opportunity to a CESU partner for the study of ecosystem and wildlife health, and natural resource impacts due to the Tsunami Scenario, which affects the west coast of California. The Tsunami Scenario, generated from a hypothetical but realistic M~9.0 earthquake in the Eastern Aleutian Islands, is being developed for emergency planning. As with each prior MHDP scenario, the USGS is partnering with a variety of agencies to explore the most important implications of a distant tsunami disaster and opportunities to better prepare them and reduce their vulnerability.
