This is a Notice of Intent to award. The Desert NWR Complex is providing funding for two research associates that will be providing habitat restoration services on Desert and Moapa National Wildlife Refuges in Clark County, Nevada through a conservation initiative under the Southern Nevada Public Lands Management Act of 1998. The research associate program provides professional experience for individuals who wish to enrich and apply their field-based conservation experience in an array of settings that encourage application and development of project management and administrative skills. The Institute is the only organization capable of satisfying the requirements of these unique habitat restoration projects. Great Basin Institute has extensive knowledge of and experience in habitat restoration in the Mojave Desert.
