Grant Description
The purpose of this grant agreement is to assist with the monitoring required under the 4W Ranch CCAA which is necessary to manage 3,000 acres of habitat covered in the CCAA for its use by the black-tailed prairie dog, mountain plover, burrowing owl, and the ferruginous hawk on the 4W Ranch. Proper monitoring and management of this habitat will increase awareness and understanding of grassland wildlife and their habitat, demonstrate a net conservation benefit, and reduce the potential of these species becoming either threatened or endangered.
