Grant Description
The U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service (Service) is seeking a recipient who will develop a Youth Conservation Corps program of public benefit in cooperation with the Service to expose young men and women to public service while furthering their understanding and appreciation of the Nation’s natural and cultural resources. They will recruit and hire youth and young adults, ensuring that the applicant pool represents a good diversity of the young people in their communities. They will also ensure that Corps members have opportunities for training in resource conservation and vocational skills including occupational safety. The Corps members will participate in environmental education programs developed by the Service for the City of Suffolk and for the public.
