Grant Description

A NOTICE OF INTENT TO AWARD is issued by the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service to California Waterfowl Association according to 505 DM 2.14(B)(4) [see attached NOI]. NO COMPETITION IS EXPECTED. The purpose of this project is to support the North American Arctic Goose Conference which is a re-occuring conference sponsored by the Arctic Goose Joint Venture . The Conference stimulates international and national communication and collaboration on goose management and provides a forum for sharing information on recent advances in knowledge about the biology and management of goose populations. The Conference brings together scientists, managers, academics and students to exchange information and stimulate new ideas on solving management issues. The California Waterfowl Association is providing matching value by providing meeting, planning, and organizational support for this series of conferences maximizing cost-sharing between partners.
